INTERSCHOLASTIC ACTIVITIES
Students
who are planning to participate in a sport or club that competes
in any A.I.A. activity, e.g. Speech/Debate, Academic Decathlon,
etc., must enroll in 6 courses and drop to no lower than 5
courses. All
classes taken must be passed.
The grading interval is each nine weeks of participation.
1.
All students participating in extracurricular activities
must meet the following academic eligibility criteria:
¨
must be enrolled in
minimum of 5 classes each nine weeks of participation; exception -
seniors who have met graduation requirements need to be enrolled
in 4 classes each nine weeks of participation.
¨
must pass all
classes; first quarter eligibility in Fall based on second
semester grades (previous Spring).
2.
Students become eligible/ineligible at the following
grading intervals: first
quarter grades, first semester grades, third quarter grades,
second semester.
NOTE:
Participants may gain eligibility every 4 ½ weeks if
passing all classes.
